Fabulous take on rain.
I laughed at your description of Oregon's famed rain. The first time I visited after my daughter moved there, as I was leaving I commented to the ticket person at the airport how beautiful it was, and he said "Yes, but it rains from now to April! Over the years I've learned that is pretty much true. I think my daughter still gets homesick for a good old-fashioned Indiana thunderstorm and lightning!!
