I love your piece, Patti, and enjoyed hearing about your dancing "history". What fun days! (I goofed and put my Sunday Postcard piece on your page, and don't know how to delete it. Sorry about that!)
Beautiful, sensuous collage! I've always loved watching the Tango, especially the Argentine Tango.
I took lessons at Arthur Murray's way back when I was maybe 24. That was when Disco was the music to dance to. I took the lessons with a friend who I was dating at the time. We learned some incredible dances! Unfortunately, she felt uneasy dancing in front of people, and we didn't end up marrying. I actually wanted to go on and become a professional ballroom dancer. I loved watching the competitions. Another unfortunately, I just couldn't afford to keep up the lessons. I married about 4 years later. It turned out my wife was very uncomfortable dancing in front of people, too. Egads! C'est la vie!
I took my lessons at Arthur Murray and yes Disco was all the craze then. I absolutely love dancing. I divorced my partner and my new husband does not dance so I took up Zumba. It is just not the same but it is fun. The best exercise ever!
