Wiggle your Toes

I went to the eye doctor today and had my eyes checked. They did an imaging of my eye which can show any signs of glaucoma or if a stroke may be learking in the shadows. As I was sitting in the chair the doctor of course set me up to that machine that has the chin rest and he said "Okay, wiggle your toes" I said "What?" he said with a smile "Wiggle your toes, it enlarges your pupils, don't ask just do it."

Okay, so how many of you knew this?

My tests show I am fine with the stroke or glaucoma but I need new driving glasses and have to wear glasses all the time now. I have been blessed to only have had to wear them for driving and computer work but now it is all the time. The total cost for the lenses and test was $500.00 !! Yikes!! Well maybe wearing glasses all the time will cover up my drooping eyelids huh? Gotta think positive right?

On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ. It is typically the most well-attended Sunday service of the year for Christian churches.

Christians believe, according to Scripture, that Jesus came back to life, or was raised from the dead, three days after his death on the cross. As part of the Easter season, the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion is commemorated on Good Friday, always the Friday just before Easter. Through his death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.

A Remote Funeral

This week our receiver went out for our Television, Dish, radio, cd, vcr, dvd player!
We had a remote for everyone of these devices because the guy that installed the Dish Network for us 4 years ago told us that to put everything on one remote would not be good and we would end up with problems. Trusting him we went along with this. It was always such a hassle to turn on even the TV but we got used to the routine.

Since our receiver went out we had it repaired and the repairman ask us if we would like a new remote that would handle everything...ahhhh yeah!
He repaired our receiver, installed it and programed all of the other devices to ONE REMOTE!

Amazing....we took all of our remotes and put them in a small wicker trunk, said out good byes and of course acknowledged how much they have done for us over the past 4 years, said a prayer and closed the trunk. Rest In Peace

All is good and so easy now. One remote for TV, Dish, CD Player, VCR Player, Radio and DVD Player.
Do you have more than one remote? Don't let anyone tell you that programming ONE REMOTE is not good. It works. Why did I wait so long?

The Duey Barn

The Duey gambrel style barn is located at the far end of Sitkum Lane, east of Myrtle Point. It was built as a dairy by Ivan and Daisy Laird in the 1930's. It is now owned by Don and Paula Duey who raise beef cattle and store hay in the barn.

April ATC Swap

Well it is a brand new month and it is supposed to be spring. Here in Coos Bay it is hard to believe that since it is only 45 degrees here and rainy and wet. We do have sunshine this morning through.

In My Studio Today

Well that is what I call my small office when my desk is so messy and I am creating.

I am doing really well with my Etsy Shop Altered Sate of Tins. I am getting low on tins so I have been creating for two days.

I created this little pug in Photoshop

Also created this cute kitty with aqua blue eyes

This bumble bee was fun to work with....

This is a sneak preview of what I am working on. These little creatures will be on tins before the sun goes down tonight.

The following are in the works also.
That will give me some good inventory in my Shop.

I will post photos of the finished product as soon as they are complete.
I think I need to go straighten up my desk. I can't find my glue brush !
