Wiggle your Toes

I went to the eye doctor today and had my eyes checked. They did an imaging of my eye which can show any signs of glaucoma or if a stroke may be learking in the shadows. As I was sitting in the chair the doctor of course set me up to that machine that has the chin rest and he said "Okay, wiggle your toes" I said "What?" he said with a smile "Wiggle your toes, it enlarges your pupils, don't ask just do it."

Okay, so how many of you knew this?

My tests show I am fine with the stroke or glaucoma but I need new driving glasses and have to wear glasses all the time now. I have been blessed to only have had to wear them for driving and computer work but now it is all the time. The total cost for the lenses and test was $500.00 !! Yikes!! Well maybe wearing glasses all the time will cover up my drooping eyelids huh? Gotta think positive right?

Your too funny girl.
I've had trifocals since I was in my 40's(eons ago) and still can't see what I'm doing.
I have to have seperate ones for the computer (full bi) if I don't get anything fancy for lens it's around a grand. Does help with the droopy lids but need something now to cover those sagging jowls!

Knew nothing about wiggling the toes. Since I found out about the diabetes my toes are tingling though. Wow glasses are expensive. and If you are like us, Medicare has no benefits for that and dental. Just moving on.

I had no idea about wiggling my toes! I see far away fine but cannot read nothing without aid. So for driving I still have to wear the glasses to read the dashboard. I hate bifocals but am glad I can read, and do close ups!
Just think, if we did not have these , I could only do abstract art! LOL!! Can not wait to see your glasses, I bet they are very pretty on you!

I wish wiggling toes would raise the eyelids! I'd be forever wiggling. I asked my eye doc if eventually insurance would cover the drooping lids, as if, when they cascade over my lashes? He said yes.

I think it affects our eyesight and should be mandatory after age 50!

Big bucks. Yikes!

I have been wearing glasses for several years now. Such is life and aging. Would love to get that laser work done to mine and get rid of them but no extra $$$$ for that.

Hi Patti *hugs*
Isn't that interesting..."wiggle your toes"...hmmmmm..I've never had that test.

Well that is one good way to look at the glasses situation...the droopy eye syndrome. I have been wearing glasses all the time since I was 19. Fortunately my prescription has only changed a handful of times in all these years but its nice to change up the frames.

Did you get your glasses? Be sure to show us your new look.
*hugs*
