THIS WEEKEND

have been working on my first paper dolls. Do you know that when I was a little girl I had an entire dresser drawer full of paper dolls. I still have a few but paper dolls were my favorite. I used to cut out images of women, babies and men and make my own paper dolls. I even cut out sofa's, beds, curtains, heck I had an entire family and their home cut out of a catalog. I had so much fun and here I am making paper dolls again. These are my first and I want to practice so I can make some special paper dolls for my granddaughter Bri.

This is just the beginning. I need to put them on thin cardboard and then seal them with Golden Matte.
Oh I am having too much fun again!

May 8th is my niece Mandy's birthday and I made her a birthday card. I also did a "mail art" envelope.

I was going through some of my Mothers things and I ran across this old Christmas cookie tin filled with buttons. I remember her always cutting the buttons off of old clothes when they wore out . How would she know that someday I would need these buttons for embellishments on my collages? I think there is enough to share with all of my friends too....oodles and oodles and oodles of buttons!!

Another busy weekend. It started with a fashion show with my friend on Friday. That was fun. Don't know why I didn't take pictures of the models and the fashion show itself. Daaahh!
They had a silent auction and these dolls were part of that. I thought about bidding on them until I saw the starting bid $82.00 on one and $95.00 on the other one. Hummm...not today.

This is a picture of one of my favorite barns. It is on the road to my lane. I have been meaning to take a picture of it for 2 years now. Finally had my camera ready !

I think spring is finally here. These are my rhoddies in full bloom.

Also my ornamental cherry tree is blooming.

It was a good weekend. I notice that the blogging world is a bit quiet right now and I suspect that it is because everyone is outside enjoying the warm spring weather finally...right?

Patti, yes I've noticed it's quiet also and yes....probably outside! Everywhere I've visited this morning, projects are starting or something's getting done! Even you! You have a lane? Your photos are gorgeous...and my fav of course is the barn :)

I'm working in my garage and continuing the decluttering. I really don't know what I'm doing with David's pending departure, I think it's doing stuff over which I DO have control LOL!

You're full of treasures. That envelope is the cutest. Who wouldn't just love receiving that in the mail.
My mom has an old seed box full of buttons that were her mother's. She has it hidden away in a store room. Everyone once in awhile, we get it out and ooo and aaahhh. They are so beautiful.
