Ok, I finally got back into the mood to collage. Not my best but I am back in the mood and will be doing more and getting better with each piece.
I want to learn to do altered books but am not sure what they are all about. I have asked a couple of artist to explain the process so I can try.
Also want to do this for the CDE challenge.

I like them both Patti. I love your imagination.
I'm sure it feels good to get back into a creative mode. Altered books are very similar to collage, just in book form. I bet your library has some great books on the topic.

Just take a book and start doing collages on every few pages. You might want to glue a page or two together to reinforce them for abuse, but the simplest altered book approach is collage. Think of it as a scrapbook of your collage work! Like Amanda said, go to your library for books on the subject or Google "altered books" and be prepared for getting lost in browsing all of the links!
